When Kai Kaahui was a little kid, he noticed his chest was different. Kai was born with pectus excavatum, also known as funnel chest. He traveled to Denver, Colorado and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children to seek treatment from the Chest Clinic at Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children. Dr. Sarah Lai, pediatric surgeon, helped correct his condition using the Nuss Procedure.
