Critical Care Saves Tiny Lives
Providing life saving care to infants throughout the Rocky Mountain region and the surrounding states is the specialty of the AirLife Neonatal Transport Team, based at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center. Comprised of a uniquely experienced group of neonatal registered nurses (RN), neonatal respiratory therapists (RT) and neonatal nurse practitioners (NNP), the Neonatal Transport Team facilitates the births of high-risk infants and treats prematurely born and critically ill infants around the clock.
The Neonatal Team takes care of patients from birth to 48 weeks gestational age.
AirLife's unique approach to advanced medical care is evidenced by the expertise of the Neonatal Transport Team. Each neonatal registered nurse and neonatal respiratory therapist is required to have a minimum of three years neonatal intensive care experience at a tertiary care facility. The team’s neonatal nurse practitioners also all have a minimum of three years experience in their field at a tertiary care facility. The unique training and specialized expertise of AirLife's Neonatal Transport Team has made a critical difference in tiny lives across our region since 1991.
